Kolbensrød Camping is idyllically located in Naverfjorden, just 4 km west of the summer town Stavern. The campsite has been part of the coastal landscape since 1950 and, across generations, has been a place for vacations, recreation, and cherished memories by the sea.
We offer sunny pitches in scenic surroundings, with several shallow sandy beaches and smooth rocks right outside your door. Here, genuine coastal nature is combined with modern amenities, including new sanitary facilities and excellent playgrounds for the children.
For active guests, the area features a disc golf course, pétanque court, and beach volleyball, as well as wonderful hiking opportunities along the coastal trail. We also provide charging facilities for electric cars, so you can enjoy your stay without worries.

Beaches
The beaches at Kolbensrød Camping in Naverfjorden offer gently sloping shores with fine, light sand, ideal for peaceful swims and long days by the sea. The sand is cleaned several times throughout the season, ensuring a well-maintained and inviting beach area. Surrounding the beaches are open grassy areas, showers, and benches under large trees that provide pleasant shade on hot days. The nearby smooth rocks offer opportunities for quiet moments close to the water. Altogether, the atmosphere creates a distinctly southern vibe, with tranquility, spaciousness, and closeness to the sea.
The disc golf course at Kolbensrød Camping is a 9-hole course offering varied challenges in scenic surroundings. The course is set in gently rolling terrain with both paths and roads, making it suitable for both beginners and more experienced players. The trail winds through beautiful deciduous forest and past old oak trees, creating a unique atmosphere for the game. Here, activity and nature experiences are combined in a way that makes disc golf a natural break from beach life and camping. The course provides a peaceful and authentic nature experience, where silence, birdsong, and forest meet a social and active sport.
Pétanque
In 2026, Kolbensrød Camping will establish a pétanque court, set back a little from the water, in a sheltered area surrounded by trees. Benches will be placed here to encourage social gatherings, and the court will be constructed according to international standards. Pétanque offers opportunities for both relaxed play and friendly competition among holidaymakers.

At Kolbensrød Camping, you encounter one of Vestfold’s most atmospheric coastal stretches, where the sea, sand, and forest blend into a tranquil and refined landscape. The Coastal Path closely follows the beaches, guiding you through smooth rocks, sheltered coves, and noble woodlands with ancient oak trees. The path runs from Stavern to Helgeroa, covering about 35 kilometers, and the entire hike takes up to 8 hours, but it can easily be divided into stages. The trail is marked with blue signs and invites both short walks and longer hikes along the coast. Kolbensrød is an ideal starting point to experience Norwegian coastal nature with peace, a view towards the horizon, and genuine summer vibes by the sea.
Beach volleyball courts
Kolbensrød Camping features two professional beach volleyball courts, each located on its own beach, just steps from the sea. The courts have soft sand, offering ideal conditions for both casual play and competitive matches—with the ocean as a scenic backdrop.
Playgrounds
Kolbensrød Camping has two centrally located playgrounds featuring climbing towers, slides, swings, seesaws, and a play tractor. Benches for adults provide excellent visibility and comfort, while the grass and sand surfaces ensure a natural and safe play area. Additionally, there are swings on the beach, with the sea creating a playful setting.
